Metro Turning Point

Since 1975, Metro Turning Point has provided emergency shelter for men experiencing homelessness from across our city, province, country and abroad.  We have been helping people transition from crisis back to community for over 30years.  Metro Turning Point is a non-profit, multi-serve, charitable organization which operates under the umbrella of SLSNS.

Support Services and Trusteeship are provided to men and women of our community who are experiencing poverty and other housing-related issues.  Many individuals accessing Metro Turning Point Centre services may struggle with alcohol and/or substance use/abuse and mental health issues.

Our programs and services are specifically designed and developed to support people over the age of 16 who are experiencing homelessness, housing issues and poverty.  At MTPC, we offer comprehensive support to assist individuals including the Trusteeship Program, Day Services and Night Shelter programs(s).

Believing strongly in the dignity and self worth of each individual, we have continued to evolve our own program(s), developing a high support, harm-reduction model over time, implementing new philosophical changes to program delivery and service expansion beginning on November 1, 2008.  These expansions provide us the ability to operate a 24/7 service, affording our clients the ability to stay in a warm and safe environment during the daytime hours as well as the night.  This is in conjunction with our Day Program Services and our recognized Trusteeship Program.  We are proud to also endeavour to provide shelter to individuals who require shelter for themselves and their pet, wherever possible.

For more information about our services, or to learn about how to access MTPC supports for yourself or someone that you know, please call us at 420-3282.
